This bowl is my go to meal for fast AM yummys, it’s easy and nutritious, and is also a great breakfast to pre make and put into little pre portioned baggies. Imagine waking up and going straight from morning meditation to your kitchen without having to think about what your going to put in your body... heavenly! I’ll even pack these for my boyfriend and I when we’re going on overnight camping trips or Airbnb weekends. It’s always a good idea to have a high protein meal, with a healthy dose of gluten-free carbs, just in case you can’t make it to brunch!
Oat bran 3-4 TBS
Chia seeds 1 TBS
Hemp seeds 1 TBS
Raisins or any dried fruit 2 TBS
Almond butter 1-2 TBS
Sprinkle of Cinnamon Fresh fruit or seeds (whatever is in season but strawberries and blueberries are my favorite!)
Directions: Bring ½ cup water to boil. Place the oat bran, chia seeds, hemp seeds, raisins and almond butter in a bowl and add boiling water. The less water you add the thicker it will be and remember chia seeds expand! Using a spoon gently break up and mix the almond butter so it spreads into the oatmeal evenly. Let sit for 3 minutes. Sprinkle with cinnamon, fresh fruit and nuts.
